QiQ runs hosting promotions from time to time. Whilst promotions are available to both new and existing hosting clients it should be noted that it is not possible to utilise a promotion on an existing or expired QiQ hosting account. QiQ hosting promotions are only for the hosting of domain names we have not hosted previously. In short, a QiQ promotion is only available once per domain name.
Here are some frequently asked questions about our promotions:
1. How can QiQ offer 12 months hosting for such a low price?
We have been providing web hosting services for over 10 years - we started in 1998. We offer a low price for the first 12 months to encourage people to try our service and support. We are confident that after 12 months a significant number of people will be impressed by what we do and how we do it to renew at our still very affordable regular price.
2. What's the catch?
We really do not think there is a catch. We simply ask that you try our service and, if you do not like it you simply do not have to renew at the end of the 12 month period. We only ask that you use a promotion once with any domain and if you wish to renew hosting for a domain it is at our still very affordable regular price.
We also offer a 30 day money back guarantee so even if a hosting account purchased with a promotional code is not suitable for you we will provide a 100% refund. Domain names are not included in the money back guarantee as they can simply be reused with other providers and other hosting accounts.
3. Do I have to buy a domain from QiQ?
QiQ provide domain names and will automatically configure them to work with your hosting. You can also transfer an existing domain to us if you prefer. If you wish to have a domain with another supplier, that is fine but you will have to arrange for it to be set to point to our servers (we provide the details for this in our welcome email).
4. What if I do not wish to renew the service in 12 months time?
Simply do nothing and the service will automatically lapse. We will issue a renewal invoice, but this is not paid the service simply comes to an end. We do not store credit card details so we can not take further payments.
5. How can I pay?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Paypal (not echeque) payments
6. What are the hidden charges?
There are very few circumstances when we make additional charges. We publish this fact so they should not be considered hidden! They are:
- If we rename a hosting account we charge a one off fee of £5.00. That is to say you perhaps order hosting for abc.co.uk but want it to be renamed to def.co.uk
- If you buy a domain name from us, there is the charge for the domain name. We do not charge if you choose to transfer a domain name away from us.
7. You don't have any Terms and Conditions - you must be dodgy!
We have terms and conditions and all customers have to agree to them. They are published to www.myqiq.info/tandc and are consistent with most hosting companies.
8. I've hosted this domain with QiQ previously, can I take advantage of the latest promotion?
No. We only offer a promotion once for a domain.
