.au Domain Transfer Preparation

Before you place an order to transfer a .au domain we ask that you:

1.Ensure that the email address for the administrative contact for the domain is a) a valid email address and b) that the recipient will respond to emails sent to them regarding this transfer. Confirm that you have a current email address registered as the current domain registrant. You will be contacted to authorise the transfer.

2. When ordering your domain transfer you will require the password associated with your domain (sometimes referred to as the EPP or Authorisation Code). Your present supplier should be able to advise you of this, alternatively, for .au domain names y ou can also retrieve your password by visiting http://admin.auda.org.au/passwordMail/PasswordMail

4. If you require your QiQ hosting associated with a domain not yet under our control to be activated, you will need to ask your present supplier to change the nameservers for the domain name as detailed in your hosting welcome email.

If you do not require your hosting account to go live until after the domain has transferred, we can change these details for you once the transfer completes.
